Here we have a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Glenallachie, a 12 Year Old distilled in 2009 and aged in a single first-fill sherry butt, subsequently bottled in July 2022 by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. The aroma reveals notes of lemon drizzle cake, buttery brioche, chewy dates, and grassy barley. On the palate, one can discern a mature oak richness complemented by waxy orange peel, dark chocolate shavings, and toasted almonds. The finish lingers with spiced malt and coffee-soaked nuts.
